Molecular Sieve Traps

Molecular sieve traps contain Zeolite desiccant to remove hydrocarbons and water vapor. The desiccant can be baked out or regenerated to remove water that has collected. (WARNING:  Do not regenerate if you are trapping hydrocarbons.) The two piece body design allows for easy cleaning and removal / replacement of the Zeolite.

Molecular Sieve Traps Features

  • 120V AC heater included for regenerating desiccant, 208-240 V AC heater optional
  • Right angle, in-line or straight-in-line body designs
  • Two piece design for easy cleaning and filter media replacement
  • Zeolite 13X desiccant for removing hydrocarbons and water

Since its founding in 1962, Nor-Cal Products, Inc dba Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering has been designing and building standard and custom foreline traps for the vacuum industry. These traps range in complexity from simple sealed coaxial traps designed to prevent oil backstreaming to the triple-pass water-cooled traps, which remove condensable gasses that contaminate mechanical pump oil or other parts of the system. Except for the permanently sealed one-piece body coaxial models, all Nor-Cal traps disassemble easily with an FKM O-ring and V-clamp. The two-piece body allows for easy removal for cleaning or replacement. The standard finish for all traps is bead-blast. The electropolish finish is available on request.
