Except for the in-line models with permanently sealed, one-piece bodies, all PV V&E traps disassemble easily with a FKM O-ring and clamps. The two-piece body allows for easy removal for cleaning or replacement. PV V&E’s standard finish for all traps is beadblast; an electropolish finish is available upon request.

Particulate Filter Traps
Particulate Filter Traps remove contaminants that could enter vacuums and contaminate the oil or vacuum system. Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering offers polyester and fiberglass particulate filter traps that effectively filter particulates to 10-microns or less. Filter traps are easy to clean, remove, and replace, and can be reused depending on your vacuum process.Features:

Metal Sieve Traps
Metal Sieve Traps function similarly to particulate filter traps. They use woven stainless steel or copper gauze to remove hydrocarbons and large particulates. Multiple two-piece in-line body sizes can be compatible with different port sizes and meet flow requirements. Filters are easy to clean, remove, and replace.Features:

Molecular Sieve Traps
Molecular sieve traps contain Zeolite, a desiccant, to remove hydrocarbons and water vapor. The desiccant can be baked out or regenerated to remove water that has been collected. WARNING: do not regenerate if you are trapping hydrocarbons!The two-piece body design allows for easy cleaning and the removal/replacement of the Zeolite.

Water Cooled Traps
Water cooled traps remove condensable gases before they damage or contaminate pump system components. Internal baffles to maximize residence time and extend preventative maintenance intervals/pump overhauls. Condensate drain options are available. PV V&E’s two-piece design makes cleaning and inspection easy.Features:
- ¼” OD 316L water coils
- Up to three water coils for improved cooling

Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Traps
Liquid Nitrogen (LN2) Traps remove condensable gases to prevent damage to vacuum systems and vacuum system components. Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering’s dual-tube model easily connects to automated fill devices, while single-fill tubes manually introduce liquid nitrogen (LN2). The separate fill and vent tubes allow for easy removal and cleaning without requiring disconnect. Drains, vents, and other options are available.Features:
- Dewar is removable without disconnecting from line
- Dual tube for use with autofill devices
