Blank, Fused Silica (Quartz) & Kodial HV/UHV Access Doors

An access loadlock door can provide easy access to vacuum vessels, process chambers, loadlocks and additional vacuum system components when elastomer seals are acceptable. Nor-Cal Products, Inc dba Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering offers a complete line of 304 stainless steel access loadlock doors for vacuum chambers with an existing CF (Conflat stye) flanged chamber port. Our electropolished CF flanged viewports are available with a solid metal door, fully annealed 7056 glass or fused quartz. Custom sizes and finishes are available upon request. Our elite team of engineers can design and test components based on your exact specifications, and our ISO 9001:2015-Certified manufacturing processes ensure your vacuum systems and parts are of the highest quality.

Access Loadlock Doors Features

  • Available with a solid metal door, a 7056 glass viewport, or a fused silica viewport
  • Constructed from 304 stainless steel
  • Has a vacuum range of _ 10-8 mbar (High vacuum)
  • Withstands a temperature range of -20°C to 200°C

Access Loadlock Door Features

While our Blank, Kodial and Quartz access loadlock doors offer specific advantages by model, all our access loadlock doors are constructed from 304 stainless steel. Vacuums have a vacuum range of _ 10-8 mbar (High vacuum) and can withstand a temperature range of -20°C to 200°C. The door of each model is opened easily by turning a knurled knob. These doors are available for 2.75 to 10 inch (70 to 254mm) OD flanges with a solid metal door or with a viewport.

Blank Fast Access Loadlock Doors

These blank fast access Add-A-Doors offer a simple, effective method for incorporating an elastomer sealed access port into an existing chamber fitting or component. The door itself includes a blank hinged door and is secured with a single curled knob. Unlike our Kodial and Quartz loacklock doors, these doors do not offer a transparent viewport.

Fused Silica (Quartz) Loadlock Doors

Fused silica viewports are manufactured from high purity crystal silica that is heated and then quickly cooled to maintain a transparent surface while removing impurities. Fused silica offers high chemical purity and resistance. Quartz provides superior ultraviolet radiation transmission and resistance to thermal shock. Quartz CF flanged viewports should not be baked above 200°C. NW and ISO flanged viewports can withstand 200°C bakeouts and pressures to 10-9 Torr.

Fused Silica (Quartz) Loadlock Door Features

  • Impressive Optical Transmission
  • Amorphous
  • Cross-linked, 3D structure
  • Significant transparency into deep ultraviolet

Kodial (7056 Glass) Loadlock Doors

Kodial glass, or borosilicate, is primarily composed of silica and boron trioxide. Kodial glass is known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion. This makes kodial glass more resistant to thermal shock than standard glass. Borosilicate glass is highly popular in laboratories due to its ability to handle extreme temperature changes without cracking. Glass CF flanged viewports can withstand repeated bakeout cycles to 400°C and vacuum pressures to 10-11 Torr.

Kodial (7056 Glass) Viewport Features

  • 7056 glass material
  • Optimized for UV applications
  • Allow repeated bakeout

Access Loadlock Doors Customization Options

Nor-Cal Products, Inc dba Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering offers a complete line of viewports for vacuum chambers with NW, ISO, and CF flanges. CF flanged viewports are available with fully annealed 7056 glass or fused quartz. Our prototyping capabilities allow us to create custom loadlock doors upon request. Standard loadlock doors are electropolished, and custom sizes and finishes are available upon request. Unique materials and coatings, such as sapphire and anti-reflective (AR) coating, are available on request. Glass provides a large distortion-free viewing area at a low cost.
