ISO-KF (NW) Sealing Hardware
We offer ISO-KF components, including Wing Nut Clamps, ISO-KF Bulkhead Clamps, ISO-KF Centering Ring w/ O-Rings, and additional components available in aluminum, 304 stainless steel, and 316 stainless steel. Reducer centering rings and screened centering rings are available.ISO-K / ISO-F Sealing Hardware
PV V&E’s ISO-K / ISO-F parts can be joined with single-and double-claw clamps. Single-claw clamps can join an OF flange to a tapped nonrotatable on a pump or gate valve, while double-claw clamps are used when a pair of OF flanges need to be joined. Over pressure and retainer spacer rings are optional.ConFlat (CF) Sealing Hardware
Copper gaskets and, if preferred, silver-plated gaskets help ensure the resultant seal is UHV vacuum-tight and process chemistry compatible. Our ConFlat fastener kits and hardware make joining ConFlat flanges quick and easy. Gaskets are sold individually or in bulk.ASA Sealing Hardware
We have high-grade stainless-steel ASA bolts and fastener hardware. Properly sized O-ring seals help assure the resultant seal is vacuum-tight and the vacuum process is chemistry compatible.EVAC Sealing Hardware
EVAC-manufactured CeFix aluminum seal rings and chain clamps are the proper choice to achieve UHV and XHV grade seals with EVAC tapered flanges. Teflon-coated chain clamps are available to achieve UHV metal seals.Wire Seal Sealing Hardware
We provide bolt and nut kits with the correct number of fasteners for each flange size. 18-8 stainless steel bolt kits and OFHC copper wire seal gaskets ensure tight seals on most flange combinations.Seals, Clamps, and Bolt Kits Features
The exact benefits of each Pfeiffer Vacuum component vary depending on the flange type and material used. General features of PV V&E seals, clamps & bolt kits include:- Aluminum and steel clamps and hardware
- Elastomer seal rings in a range of materials, including FKM, FFKM, Silicon, Buna, and more
- Metal UHV seals, including copper, silver-plated copper, and aluminum
- ISO 9001: 2015 certified
Questions About Vacuum Seals?
Our experts are available to answer any of your questions from design, manufacturing, quality assurance, or anything else you need! If you don't see your question below, contact us.What are the advantages & disadvantages of metal seals and elastomer (o-ring) seals?
Metal seals can achieve higher vacuum and bake-out temperatures, though they are single-use items. Metal seals are usually designed for semi-permanent installation where the seal is not frequently replaced. Elastomer seals are replaceable and can be used in dynamic sealing environments where the seal must be opened and closed on a regular basis. There are many types of elastomer compounds to accommodate many different processes.
Can you use metal gaskets more than once?
You can likely use a metal seal more than once, but most customers find that it is much easier to replace the seals when they are opened rather than risk leaks from re-used seals at a later time. Using a new seal is inexpensive compared to tracking down and fixing leaks.
What is the advantage of silver-plated bolts?
Silver plating on bolts provides a threaded surface that prevents seizing during installation or removal. Silver-plated bolts are a convenient alternative to adding grease or anti-seize compound to regular bolts.
Why are there several different metal gasket materials available?
Copper gaskets are the most common metal gasket and will work in most vacuum applications. However, some process applications which are corrosive to copper may need a gasket of a different material, such as aluminum, nickel, or silver-plated copper.
Why would you need a plate nut?
A plate nut is used when there is not enough room to install a regular nut. A plate nut is much flatter than a standard nut and spans two bolt holes - removing the need for a wrench to hold the nut in place while tightening the bolt. Plate nuts are perfect for those hard-to-reach (and hard-to-see) spaces often encountered during system assembly.
